Important announcement!

I have located my missing ushanka!

Now I have two. At least I was smart and got the new one in a different colour. And I do think black goes better with the Black Coat of Swoopiness. The other one is from Moscow though, and I am incredibly sentimental about it, and also it is warmer and more comfortable.

This winter has barely called for ushankas at all, not that I'm complaining.

I'm not sure I've ever posted a picture. It's made a few appearances this year, but I haven't been camwhoring nearly as much as I usually do (which is unfortunate because I currently have the best hair I've ever had in my entire life).

That is totally not a Soviet surplus coat. It's from Zara's. It's just falling apart, unfortunately. I love Soviet coats, but they are not made for 5'2 women with big boobs.

You have no idea of the panic! My ears might be exposed to sub-zero temperatures. And random strangers might fail to ascertain my ideological leanings with a glance. I'm not sure which would be more tragic.
