Ages ago, I heard this joke about Jews reading anti-Semitic newspapers because they were full of good news about us being rich and controlling the world's economy. I feel the same way when I read or watch news about teachers—like, we have these huge pay cheques, get tons of time off, and get to teach about Marxism.
(I mean, I do teach a bit about dialectical materialism and the Russian revolution, but it's in the context of Eisenstein's theory of montage and Soviet constructivism.)
