Confession time

Hey guys, I know this might be TMI, but I had an abortion just now, with my morning coffee. (I probably should have had it with a glass of water, but whatever.) I had one the day before, too, and the day before that. I've been having daily abortions for some time now.

Granted, scientifically speaking, I'm just preventing implantation*, not removing an existing fetus. But since when did anyone in the Bush administration pass health class in junior high? What, you want a government full of egghead smartipants, or do you want a government you can drink a beer with?

Anyway, good thing I live here, where I can have daily abortions, instead of in the States. Because I am a selfish feminist. I delight, each morning, in getting up, having a cup of coffee, taking my vitamins, petting the cats, and extinguishing the lives of precious, unique snowflakes.

EDIT: If you're American, tell 'em what you think.

* Not even that, because, well, condoms.

I confess: I, too, am a serial abortionist. I am such a hardcore baby killer that I only take my placebos four times a year. I am actually tempted to stockpile a year's worth of baby-killing pills because my government is a bunch of dimwitted freaks.

I really just TMI all over your journal all the time these days. It's quite liberating.

Ohboy. My new (temporary) doctor wanted to test me for some shit that really only matters if you get pregnant.

I'm like, "I'm not getting pregnant."

This just in ... a comment on my latest column on xtra.ca:

Not all Pro-Life people are of the Christian Right
I know lots of gays that are pro-life, and it has nothing to do with religion. Abortion is an abhorrent process. If Ariel really believed in EQUALITY, that means every life is equal and has equal value and is allowed to exist in its own right. Abortion is about the most unequal thing as it gives control over another human being to someone else. It's about as far as you can get away from Human Rights. So gays should be AGAINST abortion. Women are disproportionately aborted, and what happens if they find a gay gene, and recognize it before birth, now people can kill gays before they are born. It's basically social darwinism. I'd really like to know some hard numbers of how many "back alley" abortions or "self abortions" happens before Henry Morgantaler's Supreme Court ruling in 1988. No pro-abortion people ever give any kind of hard stat, but just refer to back alley abortion as though it was white spread and a fact. Until I see stats, I think all pro-abortion people are demagogues trying to stir up people's emotions through lies.

Umm... hate to bring it up, but most likely you only have daily abortions three out of four weeks or so - depending on which prescription you're on. Those placebo pills don't do anything.

You want to know something hilarious? There was a walk-in clinic/pharmacy near my mom's house that had a sign out front about not giving birth control pills or plan-b due to religious beliefs. A few months later that doctor lost his practice and was charge for some sort of inappropriate sexual behavior with some of his patients. True story, that was at the Pharma Plus at Bayview and Eglinton.

I'm slightly surprised that it happens here, but not at all surprised that skeevy doctors who want to have control over women's bodies would also have some skeevy issues when it comes to women's bodies.

TMI, but I typically get a pretty heavy flow of abortion about every 28 days. I can't help it, if there's no dude there to impregnate me before that period (...*cough*), it just sorta HAPPENS. :/

also, the more babies born to poor women and then ignored by the government and educational systems, the more people there are to die in future pointless wars... birth control may limit this!! THINK OF THE FUTURE.

My Doctor told me that having daily abortions would be better for my health! With my daily abortions, I can spend more of my free time bringing about the end times, instead of spending a week out of every month in debilitating pain. I love my daily abortions.

Awesome. That's why I'm on it too. I can create mayhem, smash the patriarchy, and bring down capitalism far better if I'm not doubled over in pain from cramps.
