Just finished: Unreconciled: Family, Truth, and Indigenous Resistance by Jesse Wente. This was absolutely awesome. I don't have much to add after last week except that it ends on a note that's critical but ultimately presents a vision of decolonization that's intensely appealing to me. Go read it.

Currently reading: Guardian Vol 2 by priest: I am quoting bits of this to people on Discord in the hopes that they too will want to read it, but so far no beans. It loses me a bit in the massive lore dumps—this being the one where we find out that Zhao Yunlan is the reincarnation of Shen Wei's long-lost ancient warlord boyfriend Kunlun, which is no less confusing in the show—but the sheer adorableness balances it out. Obviously my favourite character is the fat black cat Daqing and he gets a lot of the spotlight in this volume. I have changed my Discord status to Lord Meow Number One in the World in his honour.

Moby Dick by Herman Melville: Still no whale. I wait by the docks, the wind whipping my hair and the salt stinging my eyes, for the toothed ship to arrive.
