I'm too tired today to do anything. You know when you can't be arsed to go out and mail bills or clean the apartment? That kind of tired. And I need to do both because my bills are huge and the apartment is filthy.

Last night's Take Mum to the Pub Night went well, although I don't think I can drink for awhile now. Johnny from the band kept hitting on me (what's with me and rock stars lately?) and asked me if anyone'd ever told me that I look like Jodie Foster. I said, "Just that guy who shot Reagan."

Now I need to decide whether I want to do a meeting (I should), meet with my aunt and uncle for dinner (which requires a spot of commuting), or just blow everyone off like the antisocial misanthrope that I am.

I don't look like Jodie Foster. WTF?

I got this alert from Nicole Schulman and thought of you. I presume you already know about it, but just in case you don't:

-PLEASE FORWARD

CALL OUT- ART AUCTION/SALE TO BENEFIT PALESTINE SOLIDARITY ART EXHIBITION

please forward widely

3 Cities Against the Wall, an exhibition protesting the Separation Wall under construction by Israel in the Occupied Territories of Palestine, is having an art auction/sale as a fundraiser here in Montreal. The show is being jointly curated and developed by collectives in New York, Ramallah, and Tel Aviv and is set to open simultaneously on November 9th, the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. We are looking for artists, designers, writers, poets, musicians, etc... to donate their work (of any theme and media) for the auction to help raise money for the considerable expenses of the exhibition. This is a great opportunity for artists who believe in the ideals and efforts of the 3 Cities Against the Wall to get involved and support the exhibition. The auction will be held in approximately five weeks time at the end of September.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions please get in touch and email [email protected] as soon as possible. Below is a list of artists who are participating in the exhibition.

Thank You,
Danielle Frank

On a related note, last night I saw the documentary Peace, Propaganda, & the Promised Land. No Right-wingers were represented, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had refused to participate. Of course, we already get their side on a daily basis in the evening news - which was sort of the documentary's central point. A lot of "self-hating" Israelis and rabbis were on camera condemning Israel's policies.

Electronic Intifada had a good review of it (linked from the other link).

Jeez, since when do I know about more Palestinian stuff than you do? ;)
