I rung in the big 3-0 in the only way conceivable under my present circumstances

getting drunk at McVeigh's

and then going to the Tamil protest in front of the U.S. consulate

anything I've lost this year, all of my age and weariness is balanced out by the knowledge that I've done the right thing. I've done okay.

There were a lot of photos on my card when I purged it today. Most I can't show you, since they're of my kids, but can I mention once again how in love I am with my camera?

I think I like it enough to maybe Photoshop a different sky in and do something with it. What, I'm not exactly sure.

I'm too tired today to do anything. You know when you can't be arsed to go out and mail bills or clean the apartment? That kind of tired. And I need to do both because my bills are huge and the apartment is filthy.

Last night's Take Mum to the Pub Night went well, although I don't think I can drink for awhile now. Johnny from the band kept hitting on me (what's with me and rock stars lately?) and asked me if anyone'd ever told me that I look like Jodie Foster. I said, "Just that guy who shot Reagan."

Now I need to decide whether I want to do a meeting (I should), meet with my aunt and uncle for dinner (which requires a spot of commuting), or just blow everyone off like the antisocial misanthrope that I am.

I don't look like Jodie Foster. WTF?
